The name is not quite right - these trees have purplish-fuchsia buds opening to a lavender flower. The bud color is intense however! And that is where we are now in the midwest USA. Such color against the pale greens and bare branches of other trees.
R is also for It's getting rough - and I have fallen behind. I will try to take today to catch up on my alphabet and my blogging.
