Friday Fragments Feb. 17

Fragments for this week:

***
My valentine gave me a lovely bouquet of flowers, which sits on the formal dining room table, which is also my home office. Very pretty, but one problem. The scent from the white lilies is overwhelming. And it reminds me of a funeral home.

***
Do you know the term 'earworm'? It's when a song gets in your head and you just can't get rid of it. Last week and this week it's been bad for me. Whitney Houston singing "I will always Love you" in my head is not so bad. And may she rest in peace. But Copacabana by Barry Manilow? Various songs by Boy George? Day by Day from Godspell? Make it stop!

***
We survived the visit by the guinea pig. And although we missed him on Monday, no, we don't really need to have him visit again.

***
I am sorry to hear about Mrs. 4444's dog's death. And the image of the cat surrounded by bubbles is freakily supernatural!

The lilies have a very strong smell--I'm afraid it will smell like a funeral home for about a week.

Oh no, I just caught the Copacabana earworm. So contagious!
