Friday Fragments March 9

Mommy's Idea

Ok off we go. I've been feeling fragmented for the last few days!

***
I wasn't part of this party last week as I had a really bad cold and spent much time in bed.  Easier to do as it was Spring Break for my school.  Though not the kid's school.  I don't think they will ever coincide.  If they do, we've promised the children a trip to Disney- that's how much I believe they will never coincide!
***
Mrs. 4444 mentioned a song whose lyrics she objected to.  I know that song - just heard it last night in the car.  I was thinking that the kids on Glee will probably cover it and its slacking message will go out to even more children.

***
The earworms aren't as bad this week (earworms are songs that get in your head and don't ever leave).  However this week I constantly hear "Cheer up sleepy Jean, oh what can it mean to a daydream believer and a homecoming queen..."  Argh.   But rest in peace Davy Jones.

***
My son has started his paper route.  At nearly 14 he is ignoring advice from his dad and myself to organize his customer list so that he can more efficiently deliver the papers.  Some week in the future he'll do this himself - wonder when?

***
Out new big screen TV broke earlier, luckily on day 59 of the 60 day warranty.  Oh how we all missed it.  It is so great to have it finally fixed.  Are we addicted?

Is there some TV theme going on the FF post this Friday? I didn't get the memo. Third post that mentioned TV or DVR.
earworms - play more music to replace it
A paper route - that brings back memories. I think it's cool that you have paper that has a route. Newspapers are certainly declining.

If it makes you feel any better I spent spring break grading and I am not done yet...almost rather be laid out with a cold.

Murphy's Law must not work at your house, if it did that TV would have broken on day 61!

Thankfully it was covered right?? That would have been just awful!!

My oldest has to learn such things the hard way too. I don't like watching him fail, but it's the only way he gets it.

I am just happy when those crashes in the middle of the night turn into something relatively simple.
