The work to repair our finished basement is done, and I celebrated by starting a new project! It's not ready to be shown however.
Today I share with you a previously finished block in my ongoing Jane Stickle project, in indigo and white:
This is J-5. I have modified this block by adding lines, for paper piecing. A newer fabric for me - love the vintage look.
Please see dearjane.com for more explanation of the 1863 quilt I am slowly reproducing in blue and white.

Tuesday quilt block June 26
I document here my quilting progress, mostly on Dear Jane blocks and triangles. Sometimes a few other projects. New carpet, drywall and paint are in the finished basement, and I am unpacking my quilting stuff from the big moving boxes. Err, a bit more than I remember! I don't think it will all fit on the shelves!
So a bit here on past progress. This is H-11.
Love this indigo fabric. A great reproduction.

Friday Triangle June 22
Happy summer, and the long days of June! And welcome to my blog.
I document here my quilting progress, mostly on Dear Jane blocks and triangles. Sometimes a few other projects. Right now I am documenting past work as my quilting stuff is packed in (unlabeled) boxes. Recall that we had a minor flood in the finished basement, meaning new drywall, new paint, and new carpet. This weekend we hope to have many things back in place.
Anyhow here is my Friday triangle:
I forget the name of this one! Paper-pieced, which is doable if you cut your diamonds and background fabric over-large for safety, and trim back as you sew it down.
Please see dearjane.com for more explanation of the 1863 quilt I am slowly reproducing in blue and white.

Tuesday quilt block June 19
Hello and welcome!
I am on a trip for my day job. But I have my computer with me and I can share with you a quilt block from my ongoing Dear Jane journey.
This is L-6, called Maze of Madness:
Paper pieced, with some newer fabric. Such tiny pieces! Crazy! The lines on the plaid fabric don't line up except by accident but that is OK by me, it is done! Thanks to the Dear Jane program by Electric quilt, I was able to use the paper piecing foundations the program generated.
Please see dearjane.com for more explanation of the 1863 quilt I am slowly reproducing in blue and white.

Tuesday Triangle June 12
Good day, on a somewhat gloomy day in the American Midwest, and welcome to my blog. It's a busy June for me, with travel and my day job!
Still I can find time to share a triangle from an on-going project, my Dear Jane in Indigo blue and white.
This is a triangle from the top of the Dear Jane quilt as it is usually shown. I see now it's a little wonky or tilted - hopefully it will work out when pieced into the border of my quilt. I think that day will come - eventually! I can piece 2 -3 blocks or triangles a week, except now with the contractors here, taking care of the water damage and repainting.
My sewing/quilting stuff is all packed up in boxes or stacked in another room. It's going to be VERY interesting unpacking everything and putting it back in place!!!
Please see dearjane.com for more explanation of the 1863 quilt I am slowly reproducing in blue and white.

Tuesday triangle June 5
Good day and welcome to a Tuesday, rather dark and rain coming in my part of the American Midwest. Time to share a triangle from the Dear Jane project I have ongoing.
This a triangle from the left side of the quilt as it is usually pictured, 10th down from the top. It is called Megan's Cathedral and, wouldn't you know, I was working on it the weekend of the royal wedding!
I paper pieced this, and it was a little fussy, but do-able.
Please see dearjane.com for more explanation of the 1863 quilt I am slowly reproducing in blue and white.

Friday triangle June 1
Good day!
It's Friday and time to share some quilty content.
I went shopping in a town near me know for its antique stores and for a great fabric store. i found some more indigo blue fabric for my on-going project in blue and white. I washed that fabric up quickly and got to work. Here is BR 6:
This is on the bottom row of the Jane Stickle quilt, as it is depicted in the book. It is also known as Frank's Rickrack. Enthusiasts may note that I simplified the top section a bit for easier piecing.
Please see dearjane.com for more explanation of the 1863 quilt I am slowly reproducing in blue and white.
Linking up with Can I get a Whoop Whoop, Finished or Not at Busy Hands quilts, and Finish it up Friday at Crazy mom quilts. Possibly also Oh Scrap on Sunday (if I remember to link!).
