This is the next of my 4.5 inch blocks in the manner of Jane Stickle. It is K-7, Rose of Sharing.
I did not divide the block diagonally as is often done - if so, it then looks like 4 hearts, their points together at the center. This one looks more like a blobby flower - or maybe just a blob. I think I am going to do it over. If so, it will be the first time I have done so; usually I just go ahead with my less than perfect work. But this blob will draw attention to itself I think, even in such a busy quilt.

don't forget, you can applique other things on top..or do some slashes and reverse applique to break up the mass which I think is what is bugging you.
