Good day, and welcome to my blog. I have been traveling for the last two weeks and have been away from my sewing nook. But I am back now and making some progress.
A spin-off group from my quilt guild meets every other month. We take on a project each meeting, often involving pre-cut fabric (jelly rolls, etc.). The project assigned in August was the pattern Limeade.
The suggested background fabric was a lime or chartreuse color, with gray and coral fabrics. It's definitely not my color scheme.
I decided to go with red, white and blue fabrics, buying the white and using red and blue fabrics from my stash.
I am in progress on this project. All parts are sewn, but I must assemble them. Here is a picture of some parts laid out:
You assemble columns, then sew the columns together. Hopefully they come out the same length! More will be reported next week. I hope to have the top completely assembled by then.

Your red, white, blue version will be so much prettier than the original. Very sharp!!!
That's a new design, I love your color choices better!
I like this one!! but I really LOVE the colors that you are using - its going to be amazing
Red, White and Blue is a classic color scheme with universal appeal. It is important that we make the pattern in our own way. Lookin good, already.
I agree: your color choices are going to be great!
Not my color scheme either. Love your red, white and blue! Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

What a fun and Modern project. No need to stick to a color scheme that doesn't call your name. That's the gift of a pattern, the ability to have someone else to do the planning and you the ability to make it your own.
I love this RWB version, Viridian! Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.
Good for you to choose your own palette of fabrics. Who wants to sew with fabrics/colors that don't appeal to the maker? Not me! I like the modern vibe of the pattern.
I love your palette, pretty fabrics with subtle patterns! Your quilt is going to be beautiful! Thank you for sharing and linking up.
These shapes work so well with your colors! Tried and true, red white and blue. Good luck with the lengthwise sewing!
That is an interesting pattern. I love the shapes you are creating. I would have changed the colors too! Visiting from Oh Scrap! https://stitchinggrandma.wordpress.com/
Hi Viridian, that's a lovely pattern and looks great in your colours. Good luck with it and thanks for linking up to I Quilted This!
What a fun Bee group challenge! I'm new to a guild and now have three I have to work on. I like this pattern and your color change. It will be interesting to see what other color choices are made by everyone else.
