Well school has started up for me again so it's pretty busy now. Here though is a quilt top in progress. It is based on a quilt top I saw for sale on ebay, as I have mentioned in a previous post. I can't afford it, so I am making a copy. No I don't have a pattern, as I am winging this based on photographs.
There will eventually be 5 columns of scrappy squares, separated by plain fabric.
I am linking up with Connie at Freemotion by the River and Quilt Story as I do most weeks I have porjects to share. Both blog hops have pictures of pretty quilt blocks and other projects.

Tuesday quilt: Christmas/winter quilt
This quilt I have made quickly - a new start for this year. It is for our our departing minister.
I started with a jelly roll of Hoffman fabrics, and some yardage to round out the jelly roll and add for borders. The pattern is a free pattern (called Simply Strips) for jelly roll quilts, available on Craftsy.

Tuesday Quilt Project Aug. 9
Now that the big quilt is quilted, I have turned to another project of interest.
I have collected feedsacks and vintage fabric for some time and I have finally started cutting them up for a reproduction project.
I saw a quilt on line - on ebay - a vintage 1930's or 1940's quilt that I could not afford, but I really liked the pattern. It had five columns of small squares of scrappy fabrics. White fabric in between. Below is the beginning of the version I am making.

That is my craft room carpet! Imagine these columns longer, and against white fabric. I have quite a ways to go on this! Luckily I have a large array of vintage fabric, and I have cut many many two inch fabric squares.

Tuesday quilt: Well worn antique quilt
Today I do not have a new quilt project for you, but I am sharing an antique quilt I bought at an antique fair recently. It is from the mid to late 1800's I am guessing. The red, pink, and green fabrics have held up but the brown fabrics are mostly shattered.
