I have been working on a new throw or nap quilt for myself this past month or so. It is using actual fabric and feedsack scraps from the 30's and 40's that I have purchases from people on line and ebay. The top is together and looks like:
I'll add that the muslin squares between the four patches is new. All other fabric is old, but for the most part pretty sturdy.
I am now auditioning feedsack fabric for a simple 4 inch or so border. This lavender print has risen to the top:
I am linking up with Connie at Freemotion by the River and Quilt Story as I do most weeks I have blocks to share. Both blog hops have of pictures of pretty quilt blocks and other projects. I am also joining Work in Progress Wednesday - some colorful and interesting projects there!
I have a page on Facebook: keep up with my infrequent quilt posts at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Viridian61/347674418583948?ref=hl

Love your quilt! So glad to hear someone else uses muslin fabric. I think it's great and economical and underappreciated. Sew happy to visit your blog :)
This is such a pretty quilt. What a great use of all of those lovely feedsacks.
I love that this quilt is a historical collection. It is a great idea to use a new muslin, as it will help the durability of the quilt, and is consistent with what was used as a background in the 30's.
This is so awesome that you are making the quilt from actual vintage fabrics! I have always loved feedsack fabrics. Your quilt is very lovely!
