Progress and: which one do you like best?

Good day, and thanks for stopping by my blog.

I record my quilty progress here, as I don't have a notebook in my sewing room (I would lose it in the mess).  I can look back to see what I have done.  Now that I am retired, I try to blog weekly.

So this week:  progress and a question.  First the progress:

I have moved forward with my This and That project (pattern by Quilted Twins).

Five out of nine rows assembled, so I am halfway there.  The pattern calls for 72 blocks set 8 by 9.

I had a pile of leftover 2-inch strips because I cut too many.  I am going to use them up in a simple 16 patch block pattern, with black sashing and cornerstones.  Like this:

But now I have a question for my readers.  I have done the This and That pattern twice, in cool green/teal/blue fabrics, and now in warm red/orange/yellow fabrics.

Which do you like better?  The cool colorway?

Or the warm colorway?

Let me know in the comments.

That is a tough question! I'm usually drawn to the warm colors more, but I like both of your quilts. Such a great way to organize scrappy squares!

Like Diann said that is a tough one to answer. Normally I would go with the blue but I am sure liking how fun and bright the orange is.

I like them both--which I know is not the answer you wanted--but they are both nice each in their own way...nice work on both of them...hugs, Julierose

The warm color way is my favorite but I like them both 😃

Such a tough question! If you pulled my arm, I'd answer warm; but, really I like them both equally!

That's an impossible question for me to answer because my favourite colours are orange and blue. :^P They are both wonderful and I want one of each, please. Lol. ;^)

What pretty tops! I love them both so much. I think it's the consistent color plus the scrappiness that makes them simply sparkle. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.

Great progress on assembling the blocks for the warm version of This and That project. Well, I love yellow and blue, so I will say that I love both! Aside from the color palette, you used a whole variety of really cool squares and matched them together really well, so both are really pretty. Thank you for sharing both and linking up!

Normally, I am not an orange girl, but I am a bright/bold girl, so the orange appeals more to me. Both are great.

I like the warm orange best. Both look great, but I like the way the bright orange pops out.

There isn't a 'less than'. I'm drawn to the orange as it "feels" happy to me!

I like the cooler colors, personally. :) Thanks for sharing in Sew & Tell.

Thats a tough question. I would go with the cools only because those are some of my favorite colors - but the warm - Holee Buckets - its awesome!!!

Even though yellow is my favorite color, I am not an orange person so the cool way for me. Both do look great though.

I love both of these. I'm partial to the green/teal/blues, but I REALLY love the way the orange turned out. Great layout and those colors really pop against the black sashing. Great job. Thanks for sharing with us at Monday Musings.
