Block I-10
Jane quilt progress: This block is known as Iris' Medallion. I've avoided it for so long because of the inset seams.
It doesn't lie exactly flat but I think with some aggressive ironing, and then during quilting (in the far distant future) it will flatten out.

Anything to do with quilts, makes my heart beat faster. Love them and really like this design.

ReplyDeleteMy mother was an expert quilt maker...just pure works of art. I wish I had learned from her.
I've made a few VERY simple (9 patch) quilts and know of the hard work that goes into one. Where making quilts made my mother calm and content, making a quilt had me pulling my hair out. Not for me. :)
