I just love sentimental, vintage postcards. Especially ones with landscapes on them, or perhaps lush roses, or forget me nots. Not everyone's taste I know.
This one is posted for Postcard Friendship Friday, on the Vintage Postcards blog.
I sent this one to someone on Postcrossing. What is Postcrossing? A highly addictive project! "It's a project that allows anyone to receive postcards (real ones, not electronic) from random places in the world." More on that later.
If I were that person whom you've sent this, I would be jumping for joy! I am also a member of Postcrossing and I've recently taken interest in vintage postcards myself. Too bad many prefer to send the usual touristy cards, but am not complaining :)

Beautiful postcard! I love the colors. Happy PFF and a happy Easter too
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card; I could not have parted with it. :)
ReplyDeleteIf you want to see my postcard wall, with other vintage postcards I have sent, check under viridian61 on Postcrossing. And thanks for your comments!
ReplyDeleteI'm often tempted by this type of card but so far I haven't been buying them because I'm still accumulating my New Brunswick / Quebec landscape cards that show a lot of detail.
ReplyDeleteThe ones I especially like are those with wreaths in Canadian Fall colours and those with military decorations around the edges.
Thanks for sharing

I'm very fond of vintage postcards myself. My mother has a set of cards sent to her mother from her future husband during WWI. They are beautiful and touching. She had them framed.
ReplyDeleteHiiiii! Welcome to Postcard Friendship Friday:) It has really become a hoot of a blog event! I just love your vintage card. It is very comforting and relaxing somehow. It reminds me of going home!
ReplyDeleteI love this postcard. One of my daughter's nicknames is "Holly" and I always am drawn to the various images of it. Happy PFF!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteI would sign in to Postcrossing if I was sure to receive such wonderful cards. It's a rare find.
ReplyDeleteSo much beautiful to receive than a mail !
Have a nice week-end and Happy Easter.
This is a beautiful vintage postcard.
ReplyDeleteHappy PFF.

Ohhh... such a Lovely postcard... I'm with you on loving the sentimental cards with forget-me-nots, etc. And I'm very fond of the "Holiday" cards as well... I agree with Chris; no way I could part with this one if it were mine... Do have a wonderful Easter...
