Postcard Friendship Friday

I just love sentimental, vintage postcards. Especially ones with landscapes on them, or perhaps lush roses, or forget me nots. Not everyone's taste I know.
This one is posted for Postcard Friendship Friday, on the Vintage Postcards blog.

I sent this one to someone on Postcrossing. What is Postcrossing? A highly addictive project! "It's a project that allows anyone to receive postcards (real ones, not electronic) from random places in the world." More on that later.

  1. If I were that person whom you've sent this, I would be jumping for joy! I am also a member of Postcrossing and I've recently taken interest in vintage postcards myself. Too bad many prefer to send the usual touristy cards, but am not complaining :)

    Happy PFF!

  5. I'm often tempted by this type of card but so far I haven't been buying them because I'm still accumulating my New Brunswick / Quebec landscape cards that show a lot of detail.
The ones I especially like are those with wreaths in Canadian Fall colours and those with military decorations around the edges.
    Thanks for sharing

  6. I'm very fond of vintage postcards myself. My mother has a set of cards sent to her mother from her future husband during WWI. They are beautiful and touching. She had them framed.
