Tuesday Quilt Block Feb. 24

Just a quick note today as I have lots of (real) work to do!  I am caught up with my Time Warp Stars and below are scans of 1. 2 chrome orange stars and 2. 2 stars featuring shirting prints.  I am also using various shirting prints for the backgrounds to the stars.

I am linking up with Connie at Freemotion by the River and Quilt Story as I do most weeks I have blocks to share. Both blog hops have pictures of pretty quilt blocks and other projects. I am also joining Work in Progress Wednesday - some colorful and interesting projects there!

I have a page on Facebook: keep up with my infrequent quilt posts at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Viridian61/347674418583948?ref=hl

Tuesday Quilt block Feb. 17

I am continuing my Stars in a time Warp Series. I have finally caught up with the fabrics listed on the Civil War Quilts blog, except that I do not have a good solid green to stand in for the old overdyed green.  Also I have only two blocks to show you this week as they are they only two I have scanned and ready!

A great fabric type, Prussian blue.  The first featured fabric is a reproduction ombre or fondue print, and the second one may be more typical for Prussian blue.

Tuesday Quilt Block Feb. 10

I've started a new project!  I will be making sawtooth stars along with the "stars in a time warp" project on the Civil War Quilts blog by Barbara Brackman.  I surely do have a large stash of CW fabric, and it should get used up!  I have decided to make two stars out of each fabric type mentioned.

I am, alas, a few weeks behind.  But the stars, finishing at 6 inches, are easy to do so I think I will catch up.  The first fabric Barbara discusses is Turkey red.  How lucky I have been collecting these for years.  My blocks are below.
