Tuesday Quilt block Feb. 25

I lost my little blog last week for 2 - 3 days!

An error code from Blogger popped up as soon as I hit publish. I am not sure what happened but I hope it doesn't happen again. I missed my blog more than I thought! Plus I have the April A-Z challenge coming up.

Well it is time to share the newest block from my new project.  These little blocks in the style of Jane Stickle are addictive!

This is C-3, Rayelle's Fence.  Of the blocks I have, I am low on greens, so I made this one to balance out my selections.

I am linking up with Connie at Freemotion by the River and Quilt Story as I do most weeks I have blocks to share. Both blog hops have of pictures of pretty quilt blocks and other projects. I am also joining Work in Progress Wednesday - some colorful and interesting projects there!

Tuesday quilt block Feb. 18

It's Tuesday morning again and time for a blog post.  Yes I do have a block to share.

This block is called Challenge, but it isn't too much of a challenge, I don't think. It's a place to feature a large print, as I did here with a reproduction of a saucy image.

Tuesday Quilt block Feb. 11 & blogiversary

Yes I did check and it's truly my blog anniversary! My first entry is from Feb. 11, 2008! It's funny how 5 years can go by so quickly.  I have had contests in the past but I am not sure what my readership is now, having taken a 4 month break.  Is anyone still out there???

Well, it is Tuesday and life and the Tuesday Quilt block series goes on. Time for the next block.

This is D-7, Meeting Place, and is actually a pretty easy block to do.  A number of blocks, set together, could make a pretty design.

Tuesday Quilt block February 4

And time to get started again!  There is only so much bordering of blocks and assembling into a whole that one can take.  I guess some quilters are just set to make UFO's (un-finished objects.)  And making individual Dear Jane blocks is like eating potato chips - so hard to stop with just one.

So, the story.  I uncovered a set of 18 blocks that were part of an exchange.  Each of us made 6 copies of a block, and sent them out, and received 6 different blocks from other quilters.  I joined 3 groups, it seems. This exchange was from several years ago so it is hard to remember the details.  Anyhow, seeing the blocks again, all in bright and pretty 30's reproduction fabrics, was inspirational.  Here is the start of a project, 18 blocks, why not continue?  So this past Superbowl weekend I did.  And why not start at the beginning, Top left of Jane's quilt, A-1, Pinwheel Gone Awry:

And so many quilter falls off the path to finishing their main quilt project of the year, and is off making 4.5 inch blocks, again.

Time to restart this blog!

I cannot believe I haven't touched this blog since mid-September.  I am not going to let this blog lapse.

It also shows how busy I am with work - or perhaps how I allow myself to be consumed with work.  I have progressed some with the Jane Stickle blocks and bordering them.  But not much.

I have started piecing some blocks again, and I will share them with you on Tuesdays, for the next few weeks.
